"If you’re constantly digging for your earbuds (or tired of seeing them tangled on your desk at work), the Dipper earbuds could be just the thing you need."
OCTOBER 7, 2015
"The Dipper is technology in discrete mode, a statement piece that says, 'I love technology, but I don’t need my headphones to dominate my whole head and outfit' like something from Beats or other headphone manufacturers."
OCTOBER 19, 2015
"Despite the huge success of the Beats by Dr. Dre headphones that set the trend to wear huge cushions on the head, many people dream of discreet audio headsets that blend into their elegant outfit."
OCTOBER 6, 2015
"Trust us, not only are you going to want to help fund Tinsel's the Dipper on Indiegogo, but you're sure to be impatiently counting the days until your chic audio necklace arrives (in spring)."

ANIYIA WILLIAMS SECURES CODE2040 RESIDENCY TO GROW TECH COMMUNITY OF COLOR
Williams represents San Francisco as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence supported by CODE2040 and Google for Entrepreneurs
San Francisco, CA - March 17, 2016 - Aniyia Williams, founder of hardware startup Tinsel, is rewarded the position of Entrepreneur-in-Residence at CODE2040 in San Francisco. Throughout the year-long program, Aniyia will receive significant support from CODE2040, Galvanize and Google for Entrepreneurs.
“It’s an honor to be chosen as the Entrepreneur-in-Residence at CODE2040 as there were many amazing applicants I had the privilege of meeting in this process,” said Aniyia Williams founder of Tinsel. “I look forward to doing my part in growing a more diverse community in tech and representing entrepreneurship as a woman of color.”
CODE2040, a nonprofit that seeks to build a stronger, more inclusive innovation economy by closing the diversity gap in tech, expands the CODE2040 Residency program to seven cities through a three-year partnership with Google for Entrepreneurs.
This support from CODE2040 includes: a $40,000, no equity stipend; tech hub workspace for the Resident and their team; quarterly retreats with CODE2040 for business and diversity initiative support; a trip to the Googleplex in Silicon Valley and mentoring by experienced entrepreneurs and investors in the CODE2040 and Google for Entrepreneurs networks. Using these resources, Residents will build a company of their own. Additionally, they will collaborate to improve diversity and inclusivity in their city, connecting the local entrepreneurial ecosystem with communities and talent underrepresented in tech and entrepreneurship.
Tinsel will use a large portion of the stipend provided toward producing their audio necklace, The Dipper, slated to ship to Spring 2016.
